When you arrive at Rose Cottage please run through the following steps:

Turn on hot water: in the airing cupboard in upstairs bathroom is a switch for the immersion heater (on wall at left). Please switch on so Red light is lit, and then check that the small switch on top of timer box is switched to 'I'

Towels can be found in airing cupboard, bed linen/ blankets are in the end upstairs bedroom on the shelves

Although Rose Cottage is remote, please be sure to lock doors, windows and patio door when leaving the house for a walk

Keys to the 'Hobbit Room' (store room near the front gate) and the Back Shed (reached by going out behind the kitchen) can be found in the key holder to left of kitchen door

You will find the keys in the box to the left of the front door. Please use the code you have been provided and ensure keys are back in the key box when you leave.

Sheets for the beds are stored in the end bedroom, please wash all sheets and towels when you leave. There is a clothes airer in the cupboard under the stairs.

Wifi is available and the password is iloveringstead (all lower case)
On departure:

Sadly rose cottage doesn’t have a rubbish collections service but we have an agreement with some kind farmers on your way out. Please make sure all waste is bagged (and ideally divided into different waste streams) then take the rubbish when you leave. Drive across the National Trust car park then take the steep left track before you reach the cattle grid. At the bottom is Holworth farm; please use the bins arranged in the yard to the left. If anyone asks, you are from Rose Cottage.
